Mute Swan Spring 2024

European starlings are native to Europe, Asia, and North Africa. They were introduced to North America in the 1890's starting with 100 starlings in New York City's Central Park. This photo series shows baby starlings feeding from a hollowed out dead tree. Starlings often compete with  sparrows  and other native birds for nesting opportunities.
